Did you know it can take 3 days to put up new curtains? I had no idea.
I spent yesterday taking the old vertical blinds down, and adjusting the fancy new rods, today patching the resulting holes, and I hope tomorrow I wil actually put the new curtain rods up.
Of course, had I know before 5 minutes ago that Mom didn't know where the drill was, in spite of my having spent the entire evening nagging her to (a) mark the holes and (b) find the drill for me.... So when we finally found the thing, of course it wasn't charged.
Mom had better freaking love these draperies.

I did make dinner this evening, and rice krispy treats. I'm hoping half a pan of the latter will take the edge off my frustration.

hah. Wait until you're up on the ladder and she's trying to decide if she'd rather have the swag overlap to the left or to the right, and has to see both options twice. And at some point the cats will be involved. Best hide the second half of that pan of krispy treats, because you're liable to need them..

The good news was, Mom climbed up on the ladder and decided on the valance/no valance issue herself. So now I just have to figure out how to tie up the pully/weight thingamajiiger.
It's really sad when I can read the instructions, with the thing sitting right in front of me, and have no clue what to do. "It says adjust the cam with a screwdriver. What's a cam?" Trial and error determined that a cam was a hoozywhatsit.
