Box of cake mix + can of cola = yum. It met with my Dad's approval, even. :) I thought I detected a faint cola flavor, but it may have been all in my head, since nobody else said anything.

Do you adventure into eggless baking because you're allergic, just because you can, or for some unspoken, unspeakable eldritch reason? If you remember me, then you may know I am (currently, anyway) a vegan, but not the militant sort, as I suspect [livejournal.com profile] turtledawn can confirm.

Also, cola cake seems like a good idea to me.

For some unspeakable eldritch reason, I've acquired an allergy to eggs.
And yes, I remember you. We had thanksgiving together, remember?

The cola cake is awesome. I highly recommend it. The other thing that was almost as awesome was cake mix+a can of pumpkin, but that makes more like muffins.

Do you have any exciting not-egg recipes?

And is that your cat in your icon?

I would have responded earlier but for a few days I couldn't connect
to port 80 of livejournal.com from home.

Yes, but I wasn't sure if you knew who I was. (It took a while for me
to decide I knew who was behind your username.)

Sorry, not particularly. For a while I was able to make a decent tofu
scramble, though. About six years ago I made some good peanut butter
chocolate fudge, but I don't know whether that would ordinarily use
eggs anyway.

No, that is Foucault. The picture was taken on Thanksgiving, in fact.

For a much older and possibly cuter picture (depending on the choice
of cuteness metric), consult:

I've always wanted to try this but with a can of orange Fanta. Do you seriously just do the cake mix + the coke, nothing else?

Seriously. Just cake mix and soda-don't beat it like the directions say, just mix it until it's moist (it looks kind of like brownie mix). Then cook it like the package says.

Orange Fanta cake does sound tasty.

I really thought you meant eating the cake mix & drinking the coke! But now after reading all the posts, I realize this is "eggless baking"...

But it sounds tastey - does it work for brownie mix too? I'm adventurous like that :)

Oops. Yeah-the oven is a vital part of the tasty.

I haven't tried brownie mix yet-I haven't been that adventurous. It might make a very cake-like fluffy brownie, I don't know. If you try it, let me know-brownies are my favorite.
